Summary Police have arrested dozens of PTI, PAT protesters when they tried to march towards PM house.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Police have arrested more than 100 protesters when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) activists marched towards Prime Minister’s house.
A government spokesperson has confirmed that the area around Cabinet Division and PM House has been evacuated. Spokesperson also said that dozens of people have been arrested.
Hundreds of people were injured in clashes between police and opposition protesters with the toll expected to rise as fighting continues. More than 50 injured, most of them have rubber bullet injuries, were brought to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences hospital.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital while talking to Dunya News said that five of the injured received real bullet wounds.
