LAHORE (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Saturday presented a proposition of parliament’s guarantee, saying that the whole parliament will support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not resign in case election rigging is proven, Dunya News reported.
Khan, however, hasn’t responded to the Haq’s proposition.
Jamaat chief said that the government has run out of the room for error.
Addressing the media on the occasion of Hijab Conference, Haq said he proposed the ‘parliament’s guarantee’ formula to Imran Khan when he met him along with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira. He said he hasn’t heard from Imran Khan on this.
Jamaat chief said that involving the army into political matters is not an ideal situation, adding that the solution to the problem must be sorted out with the help of political forces.
