PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Incessant rain and thunderstorm caused the walls and ceilings of various buildings to collapse taking 7 lives and leaving 30 injured in different areas of Peshawar Thursday evening.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has announced Rs 3 lac and Rs 50 thousand for the deceased and injured respectively.

The rain pelted in sheets causing havoc at various areas of Peshawar including Regi, Landi Arbab, Badaber and Karkhano. Ceilings and walls of building collapsed killing 7 including 4 kids and injured 30 people. The injured were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital, Khyber teaching hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Four injured are admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital. After the natural calamity struck the region, Speaker Asad Qaiser along with Information Minister Mushatq Ghani paid visit to the injured.
