Summary Ahsan Iqbal calls protesters to restart dialogue process to release the political tension

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said today (Thursday) that the justice to the innocent martyrs in Model Town incident is only possible through solving issues at the negotiation table.

“I appeal ‘Azadi’ and ‘Revolution’ march leaders to join the negotiation table to initiate peaceful and purposeful dialogue process”, he said.

While talking to media he said, “We are at the verge of initiating our journey towards stable economy. Due to marches and sit-ins our economy has been going through crisis since last week.”

Pakistan Muslim League (N) stalwart from Narowal further stated that the government wants to fight corruption in the country by joining hands with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“We totally understand the feelings of the protestors. Your protest has been recorded. Now the time has come to start the dialogue process for solutions of the socio- economic problems of our country”, said Ahsan.

The Minister for Planning and Development said that he was aggrieved over the martyrdom of innocent people in model town incident and demanded justice for them.

Ahsan Iqbal concluded by saying that the issue of resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been rejected by the supreme Parliament without any discrimination of views over this issue.
