Altaf Hussain urges PTI, PAT to withdraw ultimatum

Summary Altaf Hussain asked the government to immediately hold talks with Dr Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan.

LONDON (Dunya News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to take back their ultimatum, saying that both parties should restrict to their demands.

Altaf Hussain also asked the government to start the dialogue process with Dr Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan.

In a statement released from London, Altaf praised the government for not using force against the protest rallies. He said the clash was not going to benefit the country in any way.

MQM chief urged the PAT and PTI supporters to refrain from entering red zone and damaging government installations.

He asked the government to hold talks with the protesting parties on immediate basis, urging to accept their legitimate demands and implement them on priority basis.

He said the government and protesting groups should also consider that the armed forces were busy in carrying out operation against terrorists.

He urged Qadri and Khan to show some flexibility keeping in view the current situation of the country.
