Summary Mobile phone service blocked in Red Zone and areas around it
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – A new security plan has been devised for the Red Zone in Islamabad. According to the new plan, 9000 security officials, comprising Police, Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC), will be deployed in the Red Zone for the security of the area. Mobile phone services have been blocked in the Red Zone.
All the roads leading to the Red Zone have also been sealed. Only government officials, diplomats and relevant officials are permitted to enter the area.
Aerial surveillance has also been planned for the ‘Azadi March’ and ‘Revolution March’.
It was announced by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan yesterday (Thursday) that Red Zone’s security will be made sure under any circumstances.
