LAHORE (Dunya News) – Hundreds of Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and activists have kicked off their revolution march towards Islamabad under the leadership of Dr Tahirul Qadri.
Addressing the media, Dr Tahirul Qadri assured that Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s revolution march would be peaceful.
Following the assurance, the Punjab government gave conditional permission to PAT to leave for Islamabad, saying that no marcher will be allowed to carry arms.
Wishing the nation on Independence Day, Qadri said his revolution march will end poverty from the country. He said electricity, gas and water would be provided on half prices to all the poor people. State insurance system will be developed to provide free education and health facilities to the low-income people.
He said PAT had a 10-point agenda against poverty. Agricultural land would also be provided to the needy and poor people.
PAT workers and activists were seen enthusiastic outside the Minhajul Quran secretariat in Model Town while heavy contingents of police are were present in the area.
On the other hand, PML-Q convoy is also set to join PAT in their revolution march.
