ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Commissioner (DC) wrote a letter to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, informing him that section 144 prohibiting rallies is in effect within Islamabad, and PTI has not submitted a written request to the office, which is necessary for holding a rally under such a susceptible security situation.
DC reiterated that the hostile security situation within the country together with the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb makes it indispensable for PTI to obtain permission to hold a public meeting but no application from PTI has yet been received by the DC office. The letter added that Khan should speak to his concerned party officials and make a proper request to the DC office.
