Summary Chaudhry Shujaat claims his objectives will be met before August 14
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has said that if Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri or Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan take a U-turn now, they will be betraying the people of Pakistan.
Sheikh Rasheed discussed the prevailing political situation in the country with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi at their residence in Lahore today (Saturday).
Talking to the media on this occasion, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the objectives of the movement will be met before August 14.
Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said on this occasion that by blocking the entrance routes to all the major cities of Punjab, the rulers have made their (PMLQ) jobs easier. He said that the people will come out on roads by themselves now. Pervez Elahi criticized the government saying that entire Punjab has been blocked with the help of containers and even the ambulances are unable to get petrol. He alleged the government of killing 9 people in Punjab.
After the meeting, when Chaudhry brothers and Sheikh Rasheed went to see Dr. Tahirul Qadri at his residence, they were stopped by police in Faisal Town. After a small clash, they were allowed to go to Tahirul Qadri’s residence by foot.
After meeting Tahirul Qadri, Sheikh Rasheed said that Nawaz Sharif will first deal with Tahirul Qadri and later with Imran Khan. He said that it will be beneficial for both Imran Khan and Dr. Qadri if they join hands against the government. Sheikh Rasheed said that Nawaz Sharif had photo session with the Army Chief.
AML leader warned Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri that if any of them tried to take a U-turn now, it will be a betrayal with the people of Pakistan.
Leaders of both the parties said that the government was using cheap tactics to stop the revolution. Sheikh Rasheed claimed that time till 13th of August was important.
