Summary Punjab govt. should mend its ways otherwise it would be responsible for the army stepping in

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has warned the ‎government that if he is arrested, all of Pakistan will be shut down, workers will charge the streets and ‎anarchy will prevail throughout the country, adding that they will not leave Islamabad until demands were met, and the only ‎remedy will be new elections after rigging is established with evidence.

During a press conference at Bani Gala, Imran Khan said that electoral system would be fixed on the ‎streets whereas none of their proposed demands were unconstitutional, adding that they would end ‎this pseudo-democracy soon. He also said that no one can stop the August 14 march and they have ‎immense public support, which is why they do not need the crutches of dialogue with the government, ‎adding that they will meet the government after the march and not before it.

Khan warned the Punjab government that if they do not stop what they are doing by sending police ‎officers in plain clothes to party workers’ houses, army may have to step in, which will solely be the ‎Punjab government’s fault.‎

While comparing the current regime with the previous regime, Khan said that inflation has never been this ‎high in the previous five years and the electricity shortage is also very high. He added that the ‎government’s immense spending of Rs.600 million upon foreign tours has not brought any fruit in ‎terms of economic development and foreign investment.

Chairman PTI while commenting upon the current political scenario said that Tahirul Qadri is ‎unnecessarily being pinned up against the wall and the government is promoting anarchy by encircling ‎him in multiple ways. He added that PTI would not participate in the national security conference.
