Summary Imran Khan's tone and tenor should be in accordance with democratic norms, Railway Minister said.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said the federal capital cannot be left at the mercy of ‘so-called revolutionists and anarchists.’
Talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad, the minister said Pakistan in seventh largest country of the world and a nuclear state. Government would never ever want politics of violence in Islamabad that may spoil Pakistan’s image in the world.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is a democratic leader and his tone and tenor should be in accordance with democratic norms.
Saad Rafique advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to pursue the course of dialogue for resolution of political issues.
He said Imran Khan must be aware that citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad will face difficulties if his party workers stage sit-in protest in the federal capital.
Before holding a rally in Islamabad, Imran Khan should guarantee that peace will not be disrupted in the city, he added.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said those who have retired from politics are misguiding the PTI chairman.
He said the government has held negotiations with political leaders on the long march issue and this process will be further expedited to find political solution to the issue.
