Summary Qadri and his allies resolved that 'revolution' is the only solution to all the problems.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Wednesday that he will not accept or allow the ‘sham’ demand of midterm elections, adding that the only solution to the problems is ‘revolution’, Dunya News reported.
The arrangements for Youm-e-Shohada (day of martyrs) and the ‘revolution march’ were reviewed in the meeting of Qadri, Chaudhry brothers and allies at Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s residence.
All the allies resolved that the ‘revolution’ is the only solution to all the problems.
Addressing the media, Qadri termed the demand of midterm election as ‘sham’. Assuring that Youm-e-Shohada will be peaceful, he associated to day of mourning to the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and those of the Zarb-e-Azb operation’s.
He said the workers will remain peaceful as long as they are not attacked. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on this occasion that there was a time when it was said Islam is being threatened and now they are saying the democracy is being threatened.
He said that Islam remained intact, vowing that the democracy will also survive.
Shujaat said that if people have to sell their children just for the sake of food, if people commit suicides because of unemployment then he doesn’t recognize such a democracy.
Qadri did not reveal the date of his ‘revolution march’ but said that it will take place before August 31st, claiming that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will no longer be rulers as of September 1st, 2014.
PAT chief refused to answer the question about meeting with Imran Khan.
