Summary Sikh community members held a protest rally towards the Chief Minister House.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - A Sikh man was killed and two others sustained injuries when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a group of Sikhs in a Peshawar market on Wednesday morning, Dunya News reported.
According to police, unidentified armed men opened fire in Hashtnagri Phatak Khushal Market, injuring three Sikh shopkeepers.
They were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries.
Dozens of Sikh community members reached the hospital and blocked main road to protest against what they termed was the failure of the authorities to protect minorities and demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.
Later, Sikh community members held a protest rally towards the Chief Minister House. Police tried to stop them but couldn’t succeed.
Negotiations between members of the Sikh community and the administration are underway.
