ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand and Hazara divisions during next 24 hours, Met Office reported on Wednesday.

Rain is also expected at isolated places in Peshawar, Kohat, D.I Khan, Bannu, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad divisions while hot and humid weather is expected in other parts of the country.

Hottest places recorded during last 24 hours include Nokkundi 46°C, Sibbi, Dadu 45°C and Noorpur Thal 44°C.

On Wednesday morning, temperature of major cities including Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi was recorded at 29°C, Peshawar 31°C, Quetta 22°C, Gilgit 17°C, Murree 20°C and Muzaffarabad 28°C.

According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending northeastwards. Weak moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating into upper parts of the country.
