ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and federal Minister for Information, Senator Pervez Rasheed, has said today (Tuesday) that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) goes missing from the country every time Pakistan faces some serious problem.

Pervez Rasheed said that when Dengue epidemic broke out in Lahore, Imran Khan was nowhere to be seen. The same happened during the Awaraan Earthquake and when the drought had hit Thar.

Moreover, Federal Minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif bears his expenses by himself to perform Umra and Imran Khan must update his knowledge regarding this matter. Imran Khan had previously stated that Prime Minister goes to perform Umra on state expenses. Pervez Rasheed said that on occasions when one should go to Makkah and Medina in order to perform Umra, Imran Khan prefers going to England and watch Cricket match at Lords’.

Earlier, during his informal talk with the media at Parliament House Senator Pervez Rasheed said that only 35 members of National Assembly will be taking part in Imran Khan’s ‘Long March’, not 307. “It will be a solo flight by PTI with only 35 MNAs”, said Pervez Rasheed.

When asked what PTI’s march will result in, PML-N stalwart said that it will only increase Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s work. He belittled the long march saying that it will turn into a Quick March and the activity will not continue for more than one day.

Pervez Rasheed said that PMLN has been asking Imran Khan to let us and the people of Pakistan live in peace from the very first day.

In response to a question, Pervez rasheed said that no country interferes in Pakistan’s matters nor does the government allows it. “We again request Imran Khan that it is time to help IDPs instead of marching on to the federal capital for political gains”, said the Senator.

The march, which is now being termed as ‘Azadi March’ (Freedom March) by PTI, is scheduled to take place on 14th of August. Imran Khan had announced the march during his speech in Bahawalpur on June 27, 2014. The march, according to PTI MNA Asad Umar, is a way of building pressure over the government to conduct voters’ verification on the four constituencies of PTI’s choice.
