LAHORE (Web Desk) – As a special discount on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to reduce fares by fifty percent, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
The discount will be given to First Class, Economy, AC, Sleeper and passengers of other categories.
New notification regarding discount will be issue in next two days.
GM Railways Anjum Pervez said that passengers can also make advance booking for the first and second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
On the other hand, Railways Minister Saad Rafique has announced that Pakistan Railways will run a special ‘Independence Train’ next month as part of Independence Day celebrations.
The decision was made at a meeting of cabinet committee regarding Independence Day celebrations.
Saad Rafique said we will try that Independence Train should pass through every big and small station so that people get a positive impression of hope and happiness
