LAHORE (Web Desk) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore hearing the Model Town tragedy case has extended interim bail of former superintendent of police (SP) security Salman Ghani and gunman Abid till July 26.

The accused appeared before the court today (Saturday).

During case proceeding, police told court that investigation into the case has not completed as yet.

The court extended the bail of the accused, directing the police to submit a complete investigation report in the next hearing.

On the other hand, Gullu Butt who was accused of vandalizing public property during clash between police and PAT chief Tahirul Qadri’s supporters was presented before court after completion of his 11-day remand.

On June 17, more than ten people were killed and 90 injured when riot police armed with assault rifles clashed with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri’s supporters in Model Town area of Lahore.

The clashes erupted when authorities came to Qadri s house and seminary complex to remove security barriers that they said had turned the entire vicinity into a no-go area.
