PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least four persons including three cops died on Friday as a police mobile was hit by a terrorist attack, Dunya News reported.
According to the police, police officers were sitting outside a hotel for Iftari when unidentified terrorists opened fire which resulted in killing of three police officers and a passer-by and injury of another police officer.
The injured cop was transferred to the Lady Reading Hospital. According to the hospital sources, the injured policeman is in critical condition. The terrorists fled the scene after the attack.
The police started a search operation in the area. It merits mentioning here that a policeman had also died, while another injured in a separate attack on police mobile that took place today morning.
Meanwhile, the explosives deployed at the police check post at Jamrud Road were defused. According to the bomb disposal unit personnel, the explosives weighed three kilograms.
