ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Airports Security Force (ASF) arrested an American citizen at Benazir International Airport after finding bullets of 9mm pistol in his possession, Dunya News reported on Friday.
The US citizen, identified as William John, was carrying bullets of 9mm pistol along with a magazine. John was going to America from Islamabad.
The ASF officials have handed over the citizen to police for further investigation.
According to sources, the arrested person is working as a trainer at US embassy.
Earlier in May, another US citizen, Jewel Cox was arrested from Jinnah International Airport Karachi over carrying bullets.
Cox later turned out to be an FBI agent and was released for having diplomatic immunity.
In 2011, a CIA contractor Raymond Davis was held and charged with killing two men. Davis said that he believed they were trying to rob him.
The case inflamed local anti-American sentiment and soured relations until the United States agreed to compensate the families of the two men. Davis was then freed.
