HANGU (Web Desk) – At least six people have lost their lives while three others sustained injuries in a roadside blast in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to police, an explosion took place on the roadside in Dorari Banda area of Hangu soon after which people gathered at the site.
Another explosion took place killing six people on the spot. Four of the the victims have been identified as Shafiullah (16), Zahidullah (12), Arshad (15) and Saad (12).
Another three people injured in the incident were shifted to a hospital in Hangu.
According to sources, it was a remote-controlled bomb blast.
Police and security officials have cordoned off the blast site and launched a search operation in the area to nab the culprits.
No group has claimed responsibility of the incident so far.
The blast took place at a time when Pakistan Army is busy in Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan Agency to eliminate foreign and local militants in northern tribal region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.
