LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Sunday that the Muslim world is acting as silent spectator over Israel’s open barbarity, adding that if the Muslim world doesn’t change its attitude, their turn will also come after Palestine. He said Independence Day should be celebrated will full zeal, adding that the matters that cause confrontation among us should be postponed to a later date, Dunya News reported.
In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said that Israel’s bombardment on Gaza is open barbarity and aggression, adding that Muslim world’s silence is disappointing.
He condemned Israel’s airstrikes and bombardment on unarmed civilian Palestinians with strong words.
MQM chief said that Islamic countries including Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and Arab world are acting as silent spectators over the atrocities. He condemned the attitude of Islamic countries and warned that other Islamic countries can also come under attack if they didn’t change their attitude.
He said that the world powers that back Israel are very powerful whereas the rulers of Islamic countries are busy leading their extravagant life unaware of what’s going on in Gaza.
Altaf Hussain appealed the religious and political parties and said that they should forget their disputes and work towards healthy democracy.
He said the need of the hour for all the religious and political parties is to raise their voice against Israel by joining hands with human rights leaders, civil society, lawyers and traders.
