Summary Remote-controlled bomb targeting the deputy subehdar of Khasdar Forces was planted on the Railway Rd
BANNU (Web Desk) – A remote-controlled blast took place near the vehicle of the deputy subehdar of Khasadar forces on Railway Road in Bannu, injuring four civilians, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
According to the details, a bomb was planted at the famous thoroughfare, Railway Road, by unidentified assailants near the National Bank. The blast detonated as deputy subehdar, Shair Akbar Khan’s vehicle crossed the site. The explosion shattered the windows of nearby buildings.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters Inayat Ali Shah confirmed that four civilians including Khasdar officer have been injured. All injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical assistance.
Meanwhile, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reported that at least five kilograms of explosive material was used in the explosion.
Police surrounded and cordoned off the area of explosion.
This is reported to be the second targeted attack on the deputy subehdar who had previously been targeted as well.
