ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Responding to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s announcement to invoke articles 62 and 63 against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN)’s central leaders said that objections were raised even during the elections, adding that PTI faced humiliation then and PTI will face humiliation again, Dunya News reported.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said that if PTI wants to take on this battle then PMLN is also ready. He said that PTI raised objections over candidacy of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during elections as well but didn’t achieve anything, adding that it will not achieve anything this time either.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Nawaz Sharif became Prime Minister three times despite all the conspiracies, adding that the conspirators will fail again.
State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that Imran Khan can fulfill their wish by obtaining Prime Minister’s profile, adding that Khan will again face humiliation.
Sher Ali said that Imran Khan should give up long march and adopt democratic attitude by staging sit-ins in Karachi. He urged Imran Khan to give up the politics of ‘I don’t accept’.
Earlier, PTI decided to contact Election Commission to file reference seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. PTI’s Information Secretary Shireen Mizari said on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif is not Sadiq (truthful) and Amin (honest).
He has been pronounced guilty in both the helicopter purchase and Ashgar Khan cases, she added, as reported by Dunya News.
Shireen Mizari said that Election Commission would be contacted to obtain the nomination papers of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif violated his ten-year exile deal and later on told lies to the nation, she claimed. He is ineligible to hold his office for not meeting the criteria set out in article number 62 and 63 of the constitution, she further added.
