HUB (Dunya News) – The bomb disposal squad defused a 30kg bomb found near Frontier Corps (FC) check post early Wednesday morning, saving the city from what could have been a catastrophic explosion, Dunya News reported.
The heavy explosive was planted in a bag near FC check post at RCD highway which did not detonate. The police surrounded the area as the information surfaced and called the bomb disposal squad who reached the sight and successfully defused the bomb by separating remote control device and detonators.
Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Hub told the journalists that the bomb contained explosives of over 30kg and that it could have been a catastrophic event had it exploded.
