Summary Unannounced loadshedding has created trouble for the people during the Holy month of Ramadan.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Unannounced and unending loadshedding has increased problems for the people across the country.
More than 20-hour power cut was seen in several cities on the first day of the Holy month of Ramadan.
The government announced that the Finance Ministry has issued Rs 40 billion to PSO and IPPS but loadshedding continues to irk the citizens.
The citizens in several areas of Lahore were forced to arrange Sehr and Aftar amid severe power outages even water shortage was seen in the mosques where special congregations are arranged during the holy month.
Unannounced loadshedding also continued in Gujranwala and its adjacent areas.
At least 14 to 18-hour loadshedding was recorded in Okara, Phoolnagar, Sahiwal, Chichwatni, Burewala and vehari while power outages added to the public woes in Jhang, Sargodha, Khanewal, Pindi Bhattian, Kasur and Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Pasroor, Rajanpur, Chiniot, Sarae Alamgir and Kalabagh.
On the other hand, water supply to several areas in Karachi suspended due power breakdown at Dhabiji, Pipri and Gharo punping stations.
According to waterboard spokesman, power breakdown at these three station continues from 6pm due to damaging pipelines however the repairing was underway.
