RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – At least forty seven terrorists were killed in North Waziristan and Khyber Agencies.
According to ISPR, 27 terrorists were killed and their 11 hideouts destroyed when jet fighters pounded in Mirali area of North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday.
A large cache of arms was also destroyed in the attack.
In another attack, 20 terrorists were killed and their 12 hideouts destroyed in Khyber Agency on Tuesday morning.
Registration of 4,54,207 of internally displaced persons has been completed at Syedgai point.
Six distribution centers, three at Bannu, two at Dera Ismail Khan and one at Tank, have been established for distribution of relief goods among IDPs.
The army has established 32 centers throughout the country for collecting relief goods for IDPs.
Earlier, at least two security personnel were martyred in a suicide attack at military checkpost in North Waziristan tribal region.
According to sources, the suicide attacker rammed his car into a security forces’ checkpost in Spinwam area of Shawa.
After the blast security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. However, no arrest was reported.
While the operation Zarb-e-Azb progresses as per plan, terrorists inside cordoned area are making desperate attempts to flee from the area .Several attempts by terrorists to flee from cordoned off area have been foiled, the ISPR reported.
