ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition members walked out of the National Assembly on Wednesday as protest against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers killings and attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Member National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Asif. MQM said that Lahore has become place of murder where nobody is safe, Dunya News reported.

MQM’s Asif Husnain said that Lahore has become a slaughterhouse where no one is safe. He said that Lahore saw state terrorism yesterday and a similar incident took place today.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s MNA Arif Alvi said that the whole nation is concerned about what’s going on in Lahore.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented preliminary report of attack on Tahira Asif in National Assembly.
Awami Muslim League (AML)’s Sheikh Rasheed asked Dar to reduce the cost of burial, adding that it costs nine thousand eight hundred rupees.
Earlier, MQM’s MNA Tahira Asif was shot twice by unidentified men at Iqbal Town area of Lahore in an apparent armed robbery attempt. She was rushed to the hospital and remains in a critical condition there.
According to reports, unidentified men opened fire as Ms Asif resisted the robbery attempt. Hospital sources say that the MNA received two bullets and is in a critical condition at Lahore’s Sheikh Zayad Hospital.

Attack on PAT workers

At least eight were killed and dozens others injured in violent clash between PAT workers and police.
Political leadership including Imran Khan, Altaf Hussain, Pervaiz Elahi and Sheikh Rasheed lashed out at government, heavily criticizing for the civilian casualties.
