LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain was released on bail by the Scotland Yard late night on Friday. Hussain said that he acted with patience and that did not beg for release, Dunya News reported.
Following the release, MQM chief said while addressing via telephone that he stood up against oppression and did not beg for release. He said that the British police and doctors took best care of him, adding that he trusts British judicial system.
“I have never compromised on my principles in London. My case is in the British Court. I respect British Laws and judicial system. My lawyers are studying my case in accordance with the British laws. Truth will prevail by the Grace of Allah,” he added.
He said that he will keep fighting for the truth till his last breath.
Paying tributes party workers and supporters Hussain said, “You love me and I love you. This love is our power and asset.”
MQM chief said that a revolution will come in Pakistan and that the feudal lords and landlords will be eliminated.
Altaf Hussain also reinstated all suspended MQM workers.
MQM workers and supporters cherished as soon as the news about his release arrived. The participants of the sit-in protests including those in Sukkur and Karachi expressed celebratory emotions. The workers also offered prayers of reverence after the release of their chief.
The supporters and workers chanted pro-Altaf slogans loudly and sang thematic songs of the party. Altaf Hussain also announced in his telephonic address the end to the sit-in protests, following which, sweets were distributed among the workers and supporters who later went home dancing and celebrating.
