LAHORE (Web Desk) - At least seventeen people were killed while dozens others were injured in traffic-related incidents occurred in various cities of the country on Saturday.

At least eight people were killed while several others injured in a road accident Sukkur.

Enraged demonstrators attempted to burn the truck in protest and threw rocks on police vehicles.

Rangers also arrived at the scene of the crash and police resorted to aerial firing to get the crowd under control.

According to police, the accident took place when a speedy passenger van collided with a truck.

As many as five people, including a child and two army personnel, were killed and 30 others were critically injured when a speeding passenger bus fell into the ravine near Mansehra in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The bus was travelling from Rawalpindi to Skardu. The accident occurred at Gandhian in the KP province’s Mansehra district. Eyewitnesses said that the disaster was caused by speeding.

Meanwhile, at least four people were killed in a road accident near Chakwal where a speedy car collided with a trailer. According to rescue sources, the victims were members of the same family.
