KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Corruption Court on Thursday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Makhdoom Ameen Faheem and seven other accused. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) formed teams to pursue the arrest, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, several crore rupees were embezzled through front men in trade development scandal.
FIA authorities termed Yousaf Raza Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Ameen Faheem prime suspects.
The final challan was submitted at accountability court following which the non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against the key PPP leaders.
FIA repeatedly summoned Gilani and Faheem to record statements several times but both failed to respond; following which, their names were added to the challan by FIA’s superior authorities.
