LAHORE (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday clarified that Pakistan’s nuclear assets are safe hands, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a gathering in Lahore on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan wants to have friendly ties with its neighboring countries for progress and prosperity of the people.
He has expressed the resolve to make Pakistan economically viable and self-reliant.
PM Nawaz said several projects have been launched in the power sector not only to enhance power generation but also provide the same to consumers on reduced rates.
Ten power plants will be installed at Gaddani while four power plants will be installed in Lahore, he added.
He said government is trying its best to fulfill electricity demand for the next 30 years.
“China has always stood Pakistan in the hour of trial,” he added.
The Prime Minister said there should be no politicking over country’s development, adding that country can only progress once menace of terrorism is eliminated.
