ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says the government is working on a three-year budget strategy and it has a clear roadmap to achieve desired targets.
He said this while chairing final session of grand consultation on next budget with the business stakeholders in Islamabad on Saturday.
He said that there were revolutionary ideas from the business community and the government will consider serious doable proposals in the next financial year. He said that transparency, good governance and zero tolerance for corruption are hallmarks of PML-N government.
Representatives of traders associations appreciated the consultation process and observed that this is the first time in history of the country that such level of consultations was held in preparation of budget.
There was a general consensus in the remarks of the trade associations that local manufacturers should be encouraged with the aim to increase value addition and export-led growth. The traders emphasized measures for documentation of economy. There was also an agreement among the traders that small and medium enterprises in the country should be encouraged.
