SUKKUR (Web Desk) – Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Saturday lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to attend Indian PM-elect Narendra Modi’s oath taking ceremony on May 26, Dunya News reported.
Khurshid Shah said Prime Minister’s visit to India will have a positive impact on the regional situation. Nawaz-Modi meeting is better for both country.
The opposition leader further stated that talks over conflicting issues would continue with India but bilateral ties should improve first.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman has also supported Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Indian Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
Talking to newsmen in Karachi, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said by accepting the invitation Pakistan has given a clear message that it wants peaceful settlement of all outstanding issues with India, including Kashmir.
Maulana Fazalur Rehman said keeping in view the future regional challenges, Pakistan requires moving forward in the right direction and having good relations with the neighbouring countries.
