MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing at Batal Sector along the Line of Control since Wednesday midnight.

Firing from across the border continued to target Batal sector with Pakistan Army also responding to the firing from time to time.

According to reports, no loss of human life was reported yet, though unprovoked firing has been irking the locals.

According to military sources, Indian army also carried out mortar shelling at Batal sector that creating panic among the locals.

The continuous violation of ceasefire agreement has terrorised locals. The two countries agreed to a ceasefire along the LoC in November 2003, but skirmishes have flared across the heavily-militarised Line of Control (LoC), the de facto border in Kashmir, in recent weeks, with both sides blaming each other for having violated the agreement.
