Summary Says Dasti’s allegations had brought disrepute to both the Houses of the Parliament.
ISLAMABAD (Dunay News) - A special parliamentary committee investigating allegations of immoral activities at the Parliament Lodges has rejected MNA Jamshed Dasti’s claims as baseless.
According to sources, the committee was not satisfied with the evidence presented by Dasti and consequently termed his allegations baseless.
The committee will present its findings to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The committee also suggested that a privilege motion be tabled against the lawmaker with parliament’s consent.
Dasti had accused some lawmakers of indulging in ‘immoral activities’ in the parliament lodges drawing strong criticism from parliamentarians of all political parties.
