ISLAMABAD (Dunya News/Agencies) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Friday that it had received a video message of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haider Gilani, who was kidnapped in May last year.
According to Nisar, Ali Haider Gilani said in the video that his abductors were not affiliated with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and his family was not taking serious steps for his release.
He stated the kidnappers had demanded Rs 500 million for the release of Ali Haider Gilani after an earlier demand of Rs2 billion.
Ali Haider Gilani further says in the video that if measures are not taken for his release within one month he will be killed.
A video of the abducted son of the former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has surfaced in which he has urged his family and authorities to pay ransom for his release.
Trapped in chains, Ali Haider asked his family to pay ransom to the kidnappers who are threatening his life. He also lamented that serious efforts are not been done to secure his release.
