KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain said on Saturday that he has applied for Pakistani passport, adding that he can come to Pakistan anytime, Dunya News reported.
Addressing inauguration ceremony of Nazeer Hussain University via telephone, he asked why former President Musharraf is imprisoned as per article 6 of the constitution. “What kind of justice is this?” he asked.
He said that if state wants to execute Musharraf, then it should also execute those who were involved in activities before Musharraf’s aircraft landed.
He alleged that those who are indicting only Musharraf under article 6 are criminals themselves.
Altaf Hussain said that he submitted application for Pakistani National Identity Card (NIC) and Passport on April 4. He said that he would go to court if he is denied passport, adding that people can hold peaceful protests.
He said that he would come to Pakistan any day after he gets his Pakistani passport.
Altaf Hussain said that those who malign Pakistan Army are not friends of Pakistan and its army. He also said that he never spoke of division of Sindh.
He said that Sindh’s welfare and security is in the fact that everyone should go together; “eat and let others eat.”
