KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that the dialogue with Taliban is successful so far, adding that the nation has to be patient for results, Dunya News reported.
Addressing media at airport here on Saturday, he said that with exception of a few, majority of Taliban are ready for peace.
Imran Khan said that negotiations take place in similar manner everywhere in the world, reiterating that patience is the key for positive results.
Talking about Musharraf’s trial, he said that the country cannot progress until the rule of law is established.
He said that Sindh’s politics has no integrity, adding that the politics of personal gains rules the province. He said that peace will restore in Karachi if Karachi police is depoliticized.
Imran Khan and war on terror
PTI chief often comes under fire for lamenting America’s war on terror and for terming the domestic insurgencies as the result of US’s involvement including its drone program.
It merits mentioning here that Imran Khan had urged Taliban for an unconditional ceasefire and his party had vowed to support Pakistan armed forces in case of military operation in North Waziristan.
