LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police baton-charged students demanding release of fellow students here on Wednesday while taking several into custody, Dunya News reported.
Reportedly, police stormed at a protest carried out by a student organization demanding release of captured fellow students on Canal Road. Police took many into custody while baton charging.
Protesting students threw stones at the police and blocked the Canal Road which caused traffic jam for hours.
An official of the student body demanded immediate release of arrested students warning administration of the consequences in case students are not released.
