ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s spy agencies have revealed that a foreign hand along with political backing is the cause of bloodshed in Karachi, warning that situation will worsen upon America’s exit from Afghanistan, Dunya News reported.
Security agencies have pointed towards the involvement of foreign agencies in Karachi’s years old unrest.
Reportedly, Defence minister while briefing National Assembly’s standing committee for defence, said that activities of foreign agencies in Pakistan is a reality. The session was also told that militants have political backing in Karachi.
Defence ministry officials also warned that United States (US) exit from Afghanistan this year can deteriorate situation in Pakistan especially Karachi.
Officials emphasized that more anti-terrorism steps are inevitable. They told that the matters of US-Pak relations and Coalition support fund are being proceeding.
Committee agreed on the point that all political parties will have to play a role for the success of ongoing operation in Karachi.
