Summary Reportedly, the ongoing meetings among both parties' leaders have had a breakthrough.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is likely to join Sindh government within a week. The development came after MQM Chief stopped party workers from issuing statements against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) after PPP leader Khursheed Shah had criticized MQM’s statements, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, the ongoing meetings between both party leaders have had a breakthrough as both parties are reportedly getting closer again.
MQM has been given approval for participation in Sindh cabinet and it is highly likely that MQM will join Sindh government within a week.
Reportedly, five ministers from MQM party will take oath. MQM has also been given green signal to hold Sindh’s Department of Local Government by PPP led Sindh government.
Expected ministers from MQM include Faisal Sabzwari, Adil Siddiqui, Doctor Sagheer, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Haseeb Baig and Khawaja Izharul Hassan.
Altaf Hussan has asked the party workers to enhance mutual cooperation in politics.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah has said that MQM is invited undemocratic forces and that people of two different views can hardly come together to form government.
It merits mentioning here that PPP have formed and dissolved alliance many times before as well.
