Summary Police is providing Sanator Hoti the protocol instead of any action, she complained.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Ex wife of Senator Azam Hoti, Shamim Kyani attempted suicide to protest non-payment of Haq Mehr (dower paid by groom) which was successfully foiled by police, Dunya News reported.
The suicide attempt by the ex wife of Senator was foiled by personnel deployed at Inspector General (IG) office who later handed her over to the police.
Shamim alleged that her ex husband is not paying her the due amount which is a sum of one crore rupees and that she is being threatened. She said that she filed a case against her ex husband at Kohsar police station; claiming that police has not taken any action.
She further alleged that police is providing Sanator Hoti the protocol instead of any action, claiming that even IG Sikandar Hayat is unwilling to listen to her.
