Talks with Taliban: Fazl urges govt to take Army on board

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that he prays for restoration of peace across the country including Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA).

Talking to media here on Wednesday, he said the Pakistan Army is consulted over all important matters and it should also be taken on board over talks with Taliban.

Maualana Fazlur Rehman said that some organizations of militants were still emerging with different names. The JUI-F chief said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also backed his opinion.

On Tuesday, Federal ministers Ishaq Dar and Pervaiz Rasheed met Maulana Fazlur Rehman and exchanged views on national political and security situations.

Information minister Pervaiz Rasheed assured that the government will address the concerns of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam adding that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has assured support on every national matter.
