CHACHRO (Dunya News) – Another child died of food shortage in Chahchro, rising the overall death toll from malnutrition to 172 in Tharparkar.
In the recent incident, a three-year-old girl died in Jitrad area of Chachro due to food crisis.
Meanwhile, the relief operation is facing delay in most areas of Tharparkar. The affectees of tehsil Daplo, Mithi, Islamkot, Dahli and Nagarparkar are still waiting for aid.
Several locals of these tehsils have also staged protests. The protesters accused the feudal lords of distributing the aid to their own people.
The demonstrators also told that neither government official nor any private organization has reached them so far.
