Summary Claims that he has evidence in the form of video footage of 'mujras' taking place in the lodges.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamshed Dasti, an independent member in the National Assembly, has urged Interior Minister to take notice of the allegations leveled by him (Dasti) against fellow parliamentarians.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Jamshed Dasti vowed to provide evidence of immoral activities at parliament lodges to NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Monday.
Dasti said he can provide evidence that liquor worth millions of rupees is annually supplied to the parliament lodges.
He also said that he does not have any personal enmity against anyone, adding that he does not need cheap popularity.
Dasti had claimed that lawmakers also bring the girls to the parliament lodges for dance parties, adding that air around the parliament lodges always carries the stench of alcohol and hashish.
He also contended the lawmakers to undergo a medical checkup to prove him wrong.
Earlier today, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar termed MNA Jamshed Dasti’s allegations regarding immoral activities at parliament lodges baseless.
Addressing the NA session, the Minister said all vehicles except MNA and senators are thoroughly checked before entering the lodges, adding that 23 cameras are also installed at the vicinity.
Nisar said the police assured that no immoral activities were held at lodges.
There are 359 suites in the Parliament Lodges, 83 of which are reserved for members of the Senate, while the other 276 are for MNAs.
