Summary Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq also ordered IG Islamabad to conduct investigation and submit report.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Following accusations from Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti about members bringing alcohol and dancing women into parliament lodges, director parliament lodges Ishrat Taj Warsi was terminated, Dunya News reported.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq also ordered IG Islamabad Sikandar Hayat and other police officers to conduct investigation and submit report.
Earlier, State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali dubbed Jamshed Dasti another Veena Malik.
He added that MNA Jamshed dasti has lost his mental balance. Jamshed Dasti, on the other hand, is set to present proofs to the Speaker of the alleged night life of some of the MPs living in the Parliament Lodges. He said having met the Speaker National Assembly he will set his future course regarding the issue.
Come what may, he will present the proofs to the Speaker even at the cost of losing his assembly membership, he vowed. He demanded the formation of an independent commission to probe the matter. He argued some parliamentarians were unduly giving a political colouring to the issue.
Dasti claimed on Thursday that women, drugs and alcohol are brought in Parliament lodges and that he has video evidence, Dunya News reported. Responding to the accusations, speaker national assembly Ayaz Sadiq asked Dasti to produce the evidence and said that the house will decide the punishment if proven wrong.
Dasti said that dancing women and alcohol worth of four to five crore rupees are brought in the lodges every year. Demanding the dope tests of members of the house, he claimed he has irrefutable video evidence to prove his point.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that if Dasti had solid evidence, he could have brought the matter up in his chambers and that if he really has evidence, strict action will be taken against culprits.
He added that if the accusations are proven wrong, the house will decide the adequate punishment for Dasti.
After national assembly’s proceedings, members national assembly lamented at Dasti’s claims and said that the speaker should take notice followed by a strict action against accusations.
