LAHORE (Dunya News) – Program to attempt to break world record for most people singing national anthem has been delayed in Lahore mainly because the venue was under capacity to accommodate four hundred thousand registrants. Reportedly, the registrants outnumbered by double the amount of original capacity of two hundred thousand.
According to Dunya News reports, arrangements to break the world record were being finalized with security plan in place; however, the Punjab administration expressed inability to go ahead with the plan at the last minute citing lack of space around and inside the Punjab University campus to execute the program.
According to Punjab government sources, maintaining traffic flow amidst the arrival of as many as four thousand buses filled with students was deemed ‘extremely difficult.’
Following the inability of administrative institutions, Punjab government has resolved to delay the program. The new schedule will be announced later.
