WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – The United States has reiterated that Pakistan was affected the most due to the rising terror activities in the country, saying that it was not up to US to fix counter terrorism problems all over the world.

Addressing the press, Deputy Spokesperson of the US state department Marie Harf said “we’re still concerned about the terrorist threat in Pakistan, as is the Pakistani Government, because, as I think I say every time we talk about this, it’s Pakistanis themselves that have been affected the most by terrorism inside Pakistan. And so we’ll keep working with the government on helping them build their capacity to go after these guys.”

Maria Harf also said that the US will continue to assist Pakistan in curbing terrorism. She said “the Pakistani Government understands it has a responsibility to work to protect its citizens. We’ll be a partner with them, certainly, on counterterrorism, but it’s not up to the U.S. to fix counterterrorism problems all over the world. So we’ll keep working on it.”
