KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain claimed that MQM and muhajirs are being targeted in the name of targeted operation adding that the wave of terrorism hasn’t stopped even after initiation of negotiations. There are cheers of negotiations on one hand, and mourning on the other, he added.
Addressing Raabta committee session on Thursday Altaf Hussain alleged that the operation in Karachi is not against Taliban or other militants adding that its aim was diverted towards MQM.
Instead of targeting terrorists, MQM has been the target of terrorism, he said.
MQM Chief said that instead of success, the negotiations process has only reaped terrorist attacks and murders of citizens. There are cheers and chants about negotiations process on one hand, and funerals and mourning on the other, he said.
Altaf Hussain has demanded of the Army Chief and government to make solid decisions to curb acts of terrorism.
MQM Chief further questioned why armed forces are unable to protect the people adding whom should the citizens plead when institutions fail to protect their lives and wealth.
Earlier, MQM workers held a protest outside parliament against the arrests of party workers in Karachi.
