KARACHI (Web Desk) – At least five people have lost their lives in shooting incidents in different areas of Karachi on Monday, Dunya News reported.
Three people were killed and three others sustained injured during exchange of fire between suspected extortionists and shopkeepers in Malir area.
According to police, the shops were attacked by unknown gunmen over refusal to pay extortion.
In retaliatory fire by the shopkeepers, the suspects managed to escape from the scene and left two motorcycles on the spot.
A list of extortion collection was also recovered from the site.
Separately, a shopkeeper was shot dead near mobile market in Saddar.
Another person lost his life in a shooting incident in Lyari Khadda Market area.
